Our Breakthrough Process is probably the most powerful journey of faith we have to offer at Allison Park Church.
It is composed of three parts: 1. Spiritual Breakthrough Retreat (click here to sign up online)2. Water Baptism (click here to sign up online)3. Spiritual Breakthrough Follow Up Classes
The Spiritual Breakthrough Retreat is a Friday-Sunday seminar (approx 10 hrs) held at the APC campus.Water Baptism takes place in our Concourse during one of our 3 weekends services (Sat 6pm, Sun 9am or 11am)Breakthrough Follow Up Classes are offered on 4 consecutive Sunday mornings during the 9am worship service.
The Spiritual Breakthrough Retreat is designed to help the believer to take the first steps toward freedom in Christ. This weekend will help you to become forgiven, free, and full. As you leave this encounter with God, our desire is to see you also become faithful and fruitful by reaching your full potential as a follower of Christ.The Retreat schedule is: Friday Night 7pm - 9:30pm I Saturday 9am - 2pm I Sunday 9am - 11am
Some of the sessions cover the following topics:
What Right Do We Have to be Free
Matthew 5:4 says, "Blessed are they that mourn for they will be comforted (embraced by God)." The opening session will focus on how to properly repent in such a way as to feel the warm love and acceptance of God.
Demolishing Spiritual Strongholds
During these sessions we will define what spiritual strongholds are and how the devil uses these patterns to keep us bound. After each session there will be a time of renouncing the power of darkness and of taking back the specific ground that has been the point of the devil's influence and therefore, torment.
Demolishing the Stronghold of False Identity
Renounce the past and its hold of deception over our lives. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 says, "So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view...if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come." During this time we will take steps to break the curse of the enemy over our lives and to step into the full blessing of our new identity in Christ.
Pursuing a New Way of Life
The emphasis will be on receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, being empowered to go back into life equipped with the overwhelming presence of the Spirit of God.
Breakthrough Follow Up Classes (Sunday Mornings)
We have found a few follow up sessions during the month immediately following the Breakthrough Weekend really help to sustain ongoing spiritual victory. So we've designed 4 weeks worth of additional teaching to help you develop a positive spiritual habit of freedom in your daily life. These classes take place during our Sunday morning 9am service.
